The Frontera Land Alliance protects in perpetuity a network of lands
chosen for their natural and cultural values in West Texas and Southern New Mexico. Frontera cooperates with landowners, donors, government agencies, and other organizations to conserve the beauty and character of the region's desert, mountains, and rivers for all.
Looking ahead to the year 2031, The Frontera Land Alliance will be a vital, sustainable and respected institution representative of the cultural diversity of West Texas and Southern New Mexico. Frontera uses a creative mix of conservation tools and partnerships to protect and connect a wide range of lands and their associated ecological, wildlife, hydrologic, recreational, agricultural, cultural and historic values. Frontera's efforts will greatly amplify the impact of conservation by other groups, government agencies and landowners.
The Frontera Land Alliance is a member of the national Land Trust Alliance and subscribes to LTA’s revised Land Trust Standards and Practices to guide Frontera in conducting a legally and ethically sound program of natural resource transactions and stewardship. |
