Volunteer Trail Workday at Lost Dog Nature Preserve

Join our open space manager Marissa for our first fall volunteer trail workday!

Meeting place will be the 2nd trailhead entrance of the Lost Dog Nature Preserve located at 1840 Old Paint Dr.

Upon arrival, participants will receive a short introduction, safety talk and stretch activity before beginning our ~1/4 mile hike to the work area no later than 7:45am. Work site will be at the intersection of Milo’s Revenge and Lost Dog trails. Work will consist of using pick mattocks or Mcleod hand tools to repair damaged portions of the trail and install drainage features. Participants will begin hiking back to the trailhead no later than 10am.

Please be advised to wear sun protection, wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and bring plenty of water.

In order to bring enough tools for all participants, please send an email RSVP to: openspace@fronteralandalliance.org if you’ll be joining us.

(Must be 13+ to volunteer. Participants under 18 must have signed parent/guardian waiver.)

See you out there!
