“I have chosen to work with Frontera because I want to be a part of this effort in preserving and maintaining open spaces for not only myself, but for everyone and future generations.

Any contributions to Frontera Land Alliance, large or small, are always acknowledged and appreciated by Frontera Land Alliance, whether it be monetary or just volunteering to help out.

Thank You, Frontera Land Alliance, for all of your work!!!”

FAQs

Can I add my volunteer service to my resume or job applications?

Yes. The experience, knowledge and skills you gain as a volunteer are applicable to many paid positions in both public and private sectors. Volunteer work often demonstrates to prospective employers your personal initiative, enthusiasm, and dedication.

Do I need a special skill set to volunteer?

No, we will teach you what you need to know. Just show up ready for fun and to learn a new skill!

Please note that most trail volunteer work involves a rigorous hike over rocky terrain and strenuous manual labor.

Are there age limits for volunteers?

At this time, we can accommodate volunteers ages 13 and up. Young people, ages 13-18, can volunteer provided that the work does not pose a threat to their health or safety or violate Federal or State child labor laws or the policies of the agency’s volunteer program. A parent or legal guardian must give written consent before a person under 18 years of age may volunteer.

How can I make a positive impact on our environment?

  1. Pick up all trash you see as you walk in your neighborhood or walk from your car to the store

  2. Use less water and electricity when possible

  3. Learn how you can use your voice to make a positive change in your community
